Statement
It was like magic the very first time I painted at age 5 and it is unquestionably, deeply fulfilling now decades later and I can sincerely equate its importance to breathing.

The beauty and possibilities I see in the world allows me endless stimuli for creating artwork and coupled with the universe within me the ideas are gratefully limitless.

With formal art training and the continued joy of art classes my zest for making beautiful visual images is like a fire that never ceases burning; sparks are here there and everywhere all the time.

As a life long practicing artist I have never fully limited myself in my choice of subjects or medium, but rather react to a calling or an energy that distinctly nudges me to focus on a specific final outcome. Yet, photography is my medium of choice for capturing a creative opportunity instantly for a precise image or statement; which I often rework or embellish in the studio.

Often I will contemplate and see my new work in significant detail prior to producing it; which has been present my entire life; equivalent to watching a movie strip run across your forehead.

My pieces are best described as influenced by needing to express an experience, an emotion, a person or place. All the wonderful joys in my life give credence to the reason why I make art. Those include my large family and friends, being a Yoga Master, world travel and the soulful affinity to color, design, architecture, fashion, film, food and faith.

Last but most certainly not least, listening to people’s stories and staying abreast of local or global events critically drive my focus and the result is a permanent entry into the history of this time, our time, and invites the viewer of my artwork for just a fleeting moment or an extended period of time --SEE something captured and made real; magically perhaps a rush of true desire rushes through them and they cannot part with the work and so make it theirs too. This, most certainly, is a vision adapted to the soul.
