The painting " Fortunate Youth" is about today's youth ( being the fawn or young deer ). Here's the deer in unknown waters symbolizing today's uncertain world. Unaware of the dangers or the murky waters, it keeps course and continues straight under the full moon ( which depending on the time of the full moon either makes the tides rise or fall). For me that means the unknown future. This young deer has the world in its sight / eyes much as children often dream of their future selves. The young antlers symbolizing hope, and blooming possibilities if it can somehow hold strong through the uncertainty and make it through to the other side. Allison Abraham - Kirby
